[ Huh. And people call him a dramatic. Certainly though it takes someone theatric to properly appreciate someone dramatic. He might even be taking notes.
He raises an eyebrow under his mask. He's no strangers to being looked at and evaluated. He's been to enough science and technology conventions as a showcase himself. This is a little different at least. Less... objectifying in feel somehow.
At least it doesn't make him feel like biting someone.
He shrugs and hold of a single finger, a small ball of electricity sparking at it's tip. ]
Ah you mean this?
[ He snaps his fingers and the charge crackles and disperses harmlessly. ]
At my normal power level maybe with the element of surprise and extreme precision, but I'd need some lucky shots. With enough time to power up my internal generators or help from an outside one...
[ He shrugs. He's not exactly tested it but he does wonder if a Cybertronian can withstand enough electrical current to power a human metropolis. Shame it's too uncomfortable to keep that sort of energy in him at all times. It takes a LONG time to get up there too. ]
[ Starscream nods. Something in his optics is vaguely approving; whatever he was looking for in Elecman, he seems to have found it.
Wordlessly, silently, he gives a flick of his wrist: a dramatic little motion and a flash of his subspace. Then, too slow and too measured to be a threat, he presents his hand to the robot master... And, with exceeding delicacy, the guitar case between his fingers. ]
Kagerou requested it for you. Only a few days after you came aboard, in fact. He's gotten rather attached to you, hasn't he.
[ Is that a flicker of sharpness there? A warning? Kagerou had once slept in the vents, and there is warmed oil waiting underneath the one in the corner. But that hint of bite is there and gone in an instant. ]
Of course, he just wanted to get you a gift. You'll find it quite a bit more than that.
[ He flicks open the case. Gleaming shiny black greets Elecman, rimmed with red; metallic lightning bolts in burnished gold streak across the brand new guitar. Something in the way it glitters betrays its Cybertronian make- But other than that, it seems normal.
But the weapons scattered around this lab tell otherwise. ]
You'll find a rather unobtrusive switch near the tuning pegs. Switched on, and with your electricity channeled through it... Let's just say sound isn't the only thing it will amplify. It will be more than enough to threaten anything here that threatens you.
[ Elec's vents hitch. What is is lately. With people being so nice? A guitar from his beloved brother, and not a gift requested by a new and precious friend. The robot master can just feel how special this is. He feels almost... hesitant to touch it, though he lifts a hand , his fingers twitching. ]
Kagerou did? I met him the first day I was on this ship. He mentioned that he'd just realized his birthday had come and gone. I told him if I had my guitar with me I'd play a song for him.
[ Did he ask Starscream to make it so soon after meeting him? Something like this must have taken a while to make. ]
He's a lonely bird, isn't he? Kagerou?
[ He lifts the guitar reverently from the case. The size and weight of it are perfect, like it really was fabricated solely for him. His fingers glide down the strings but he doesn't pluck at them yet. ]
[ And doesn't that say so much. The ninja had been in his shell - been in his vents, as likely more than one encounter with the Brave sleeping half out of one had illustrates - and yet it was one little robot master he had only just met who coaxed him out. No matter the fact it had been Kagerou who had, however hesitantly, asked about the rooming situation first.
Starscream withdraws, just a little, setting the case on the ground for Elecman. ]
Now. If you're going to test that in here, stand on the desk that already has all the scorch marks. But let me know if I have to adjust its offensive capabilities; I made a few damn good guesses, based on simulations, but it may not be entirely calibrated correctly.
Little by little, inch by inch, even if it feels impossible, we all can change with a little help.
[ It's why his brothers are so important to him. It's why Kagerou is so important. They were all made by humans in the reflection of humanity. And companionship was part of that.
He doesn't flip the switch yet. He fishes a pick out his pocket and plays a chord, twists a tuning peg, and repeats for a minute or two until satisfied. Then, he flips it. ]
So I can give it a whirl?
[ He finds himself smiling. This is, impossibly cool, after all. He climbs up to the indicated desk, it feels like there must be a story in this one too, maybe for another day. He strums the strings, he's not powering anything up but he can almost feel the hum in the instrument, resonating with his natural ambient static field.
He charges the lightning in his lines, not a lot, not yet. Just enough so it buzzes in him, he raises his hand, and brings his pick down.]
[ The response is immediate. The guitar, feeding on the energy, something inside it - some engine, some amplifier - roaring to life. Perfectly tuned, perhaps, but 'not entirely calibrated correctly' is right- The bolts that SHOOT out of it not only connect with the desk below Elecman, but arc off and over, filling the air with energy. Massive and powerful.
And sending Starscream ducking and swearing. ]
OKAY, okay, fucking over-compensated with it-
[ He peeks back over. ] Though you certainly would give Antlers a bad time if you hit him with that...
[ He snorts a little at the comment, and picks his way around the scorch marks on his just washed floor to make his way to Elecman. ]
Antlered Megatron. Manipulative bastard who wants to own everyone around him. [ His voice is flat; there's real anger there, but he's reining it in until only the hint of it sparks in his tone.
He flicks his wings, sits down in the backless seat there at the desk, and flashes a couple tools out of his subspace. ] Alright. Help me calibrate this, and we'll have it working perfectly in no time.
[ Elec has an eye for detail and he's not one to miss sparks. He takes the information seriously. It always helps to know what materials are volatile no matter your surroundings. ]
I don't care to be owned more then I am. I'll keep an eye out for him.
[ His optics light up at the tools, some familiarish some not so much. ]
Tell me want you want me to do and I'll give both you and Kagerou a concert you won't forget.
[ There's a nod, approving, and he pulls his goggles out of his subspace just to pull them down on his head. With exacting care he gingerly lifts the guitar out of Elec's hands and sets it down, flicking it open to reveal its surprisingly complex internals. ]
You might as well watch. Proper weapon maintenance is crucial, and I'm sure you'll want Stormfront to be in peak condition at all times.
[ Because of course he named the guitar. ]
Now what I'm doing here... Is turning the output way down, so we can work back up from here. [ He flicks out the requested meter and sets it to the side; it takes some... Finangling to connect the Cybertronian-sized device to the very small guitar. ] Let's start by just feeding in the same amount of power you did before.
[ He looks up, eyebrow raised and amused expression on his face. ]
Bit ostentations. I like it.
[ He laughs. It's just like him. He watches everything with interest and a keen eye, even reaches over to help guide the oversized equipment to the proper place. His small hands can secure everything down nice and safe. ]
You must have had to use tweezers.
The internals are surprising, certainly not what own would expect in an electric guitar but... considering the output he witnessed. His hand hovers over it, a few arcs of energy crackling between his fingertips. Hopefully Starscream has turned down the output enough, he might be immune to his own electric charge but...
Name of a Cybertronian song. Best way I could translate it. It is a guitar, after all.
And we still might need tweezers. Fingers crossed we don't.
[ It's all said in distraction, far more focused on the guitar itself. But with it set so low, it doesn't emit much at all. Certainly not what Starscream was aiming for. No matter, though; slowly, he brings it up as Elecman feeds it, and the sparks dance further. ]

The guitar solo from Bohemian Rhapsody would level a city...
[ Said a bit wide-eyed under his breath. He clears his throat and stands up a little straighter again. ]
If you have a Watthour meter to take some reading we might be able to... dial it in a bit.
[ As spectacular as the display is he does want to be able to predict what it'll do. ]
Antlers?

Still needs a bit more upwards, I think...
